Previcox Helps with Dog's Joint Disease

Previcox is a medicine for dogs with the joint disease called osteoarthritis. Dogs with osteoarthritis experience pain when making movements. It is a disease which affects the bones and soft tissue of the joints, causing inflammation and stiffness. Osteoarthritis is a chronic degenerative disease that most often occurs in these areas: knee, elbow, wrist, hip and spine. Previcox is veterinary prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug prescribed by vets that is used to control pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis in dogs. Although Previcox is not a cure for osteoarthritis, its goal is to control the pain and inflammation and improve your dog's mobility. In many cases, improvement can be seen within just days of treatment. However, be reminded that if the medicatoin is discontinued or not given properly as directed, then your dog's condition might return.

Important things to know before letting your dog take Previcox is that it is not meant to be used for all dogs. If your dog has one or more of the following conditions, then Previcox is not for him/her: allergic reaction to firocoxib, aspirin or other NSAIDs; presently taking aspirin, corticosteroids or other NSAIDs; under seven pounds in weight. Once you have determined that your dog is fit to take Previcox, and of course obtaining the prescription from the vet, you must follow the instructions given by the vet. Be sure not to change the way you give PREVICOX to your dog without first speaking with your vet. Most dogs will take Previcox chewable tablets from your hand, or you can place the tablet in your dog's mouth, either with our without food.
